Organised by those fantastic people at The Norfolk & Norwich Association for the Blind this fabulous event was last held with us in November 2016 and saw over 50 diners enjoy a unique evening of sensory exploration, giving them the chance to experience what it was like to eat without sight.
It’s an exciting event for the team here at Brasted’s as it gives Executive Chef Chris ‘Buzz’ Busby and his team the chance to work with the charity to get really creative with a menu which challenges the senses. The evening is always great fun, as guests are challenged with a quiz before the three-course meal is served, when they are then invited to taste samples of food, each with different textures and smells.
Nick Mills, Managing Director of Brasted’s said, “The charity tells us that over 20,000 people are currently losing their sight in Norfolk, which is a shocking statistic. So we are honoured to be a part of this event which gives guests the chance to understand what it’s like to eat with no sight, while having their senses enhanced in ways not previously experienced.”
The fourth Dining in the Dark will take place on Friday 16th March and booking is now open. Please call the Brasted’s team on 01508 491112 or email us at enquiries@brasteds.co.uk to book your table.
